Did you enter the exact center cut measurement? Remember, you have to consider the thickness of the strike plate too. Makes a HUGE difference.

Paper tuning with fletch needs to be done close, like six feet.  Your bareshaft cutting a 2" tear with the point left indicates stiff to me.

im pretty new to trad but try adding more weight to the tip and see if that helps. you might be over spined and the extra front weight will make the arrow less stiff. maybe buy a tip pack and mess around for a little.

I think that you are definitely overspined. Your draw length is the same as mine and I've been using 1816s with a 43# DR longbow bow at my 24.5 inch draw. Pup

Using Stu's newest revision 12-25-2010 you are over spined.    Stu\\'s 12-25-2010 Dynamic Spine Calculator .  I have intentionally shot arrows for tuned for 60# out of my 40# bows as an experiment. They look good in flight, they group well and i could probably hunt with them. I don't because he properly spined arrows work better.

Your bow is +1/16 center cut. You do not mention the thickness of your plate material nor the string you are using.  If you have an 1816  shoot B50 string and have a plate thickness of .063 (1/16) I think you will notice a marked difference in the way your arrows fly.
