arrow flight - what could this mean?

Hi,

again, i need youre advice on arrow tuning.

My arrows hit where i want them too, but i have a little strange arrow flight.

Bareshafts fly with the nock a little high and the nock pointing to the left. They hit where they should but this flight looks strange.

Fletched ones fly good, but sometimes when my release wasnt that good or when the feathers are very wet they fly a little like the bareshafts.

What does this mean? How could i improve this?

Im guessing the arows are a little weak and i will try building out the side plate, but any explanation or suggestion is very welcome!

I agree that it sounds like you are on the edge of weak.  Building the shelf out just a bit should tell you.

Well if ur a RH shooter ur spine is 2 weak and knocking point is 2 high... u can just move ur knocking point down and keep cutting ur arrows down a 1/4 inch at a time until they fly strait.

For those who can't read German.


Before doing any cutting. Change point weight.

You could be over drawing or lengthening Your draw and not even knowing it.

I had the same problem and I now have shorter arrows and Better flight.

make point weight changes if you can to see what is going on.  Try some nock adjustments.  I would work with the nock first.  One thing at a tome.  You  could be high nock and weak, but you could be low nock and getting a shelf hit and bounce.  You could even be false weak.

What is your FOC?  I can get this kind of flight with a bare shaft and high FOC.  The point weight gets it there even if the shaft does'nt fly right.

I think that is instinctive spelling. Not as precise but close enough to get the job done.

Your fine, they should be slightly weak bare shaft. Feathers will stiffen them up a smidge.
