Dryad Epic's?

I've been thinking about trying out a set of Dryad Epic ILF recurve limbs.  Has anyone shot them?  Thoughts?  

I've got a stockpile of "Hoyt shape" ILF limbs, as Sid at Border calls them, but that's it.  I've shot other "static" tip ILF limbs, such as the Border Hex IV W (wood core) and loved them, and the Dryad's seem to be a little more affordable.  How do these compare?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You won't be dissapointed, I have a medium set on a 15" black onyx riser (58" bow) that draws smooth out to my 29". They are #35-#40 measured on a 17" riser and come in @ #43 on mine @ 29". Very smooth and they send a 660 grain arrow at 143fps.
I know they're adding a carbon upgrade to all their stock and haven't shot those but if they did it across the board it must be a good thing. I just finished painting mine last night and am waiting for some sunlight to take pics.

I have a set 52-57# med. on a 17" Das riser.

They are very smooth and fast, I like the static tips on RER bows and the Dryads epics continue to show me the design works very well. I am thinking seriously of a second set. Never shot Boarders so can't comment.

I have a set of Epic ILF limbs, like them very much. Smooth pulling and very quiet, and a good value.  You wont go wrong with them, I read in an earlier post that Mike is now putting a strip of carbon in the limbs, not so much for speed, but for stability. Should be even better.  Just so you know, the Border limbs are not static, they are full working curves, I have a set of those as well. RW

Which set of Border's do you have, and how the Dryad's compare to them?  I really like the draw curve on the Border Hex series, and am hoping the Epic's will draw similar, since they too have a severe curve.

Hey guys, I just talked to Mike at Dryad.  The "carbon" strip, actually isn't carbon.  It is a composite weave that functions just as carbon would.  As R.W. Mackey said, it was added to increase torsional stability in the limb.

In case anyone's interested, if ordered now, they are thinking it will be April or May before they get them out.

I have the Border HEX 5-W ILF limbs.  Again, you cannot compare apples to apples with these two, the Dryad limbs are static tip, which means they do not bend, which is why a static tip bow is very quiet, the string doesn't slap the limb when released.  The Border limbs have a working tip, although they have a very pronounced curve, they will have some limb slap.  The Border is a little faster, the Dryad a little quieter, both quality limbs. You cant go wrong with either.  RW
