What I like so much about this picture is that it tells the tale itself.

The hair on the ground tells you how close the first shot was. The second arrow, just a few inches further than the first, shows you the slight change in aim that is the difference between a clean and a bloody arrow.

These were two different deer, twenty minutes apart. One came from the E, the other from the W. The redemption was sweet.

These are my brother's pictures but he never gets on TradGang. I'll put up the "hero" pic soon.

Anybody else notice that the post that seemed to critisize Tommy's ethics has disappeared?

I know the boys at RMS, and they are the best, so I'm not validating that post, but...it's just gone.

I noticed.  It was my second post.  Not critical - just curious once he mentioned it was a second deer after 20 minutes why the first arrow wasn't retrieved when climbing down to search for blood after the first shot that drew hair.
