I've watched Manny make these two bows from start to finish....I still can't believe the patience he has. After the initial ruffing out with a machette everything else was with a file and scraper.....amazing...the hours he put in tillering those bows....aint no way I could ever have that kind of disipline. I would have brought out the power tools  :bigsmyl:
Nice job Manny! Bernie I think "Hula Girl" is a better name anyway

I've come to that conclusion too, Jerry (about the name that is). I have no doubt about the patience the man must have when working on bows that way. I love the look of her - that head on Full Draw is a classic!

Great looking bows Manny, I can only imagine the tillering that went into these, both Bernie and Ghost Dog are blessed to have these coming to them.  Great work, and it's a good thing you've done here.

"Hula Girl" ( her name was changed in the twelfth hour -   ;)   ) arrived, safe and sound, today and is more beautiful than I even dreamed, Manny. I'll be a good (and safe) ol' coot and let her acclimate for a couple weeks (as you suggested) while I just "pet" her (LOL) and make a nice new string for her. I am truly so moved by the grace and beauty of this bow, Manny, as well as your generousity, with your hard work and skill. I'm on cloud nine! Gotta go look some more!

Hey Manny,

I will be leaving Montana today, so if my bow has arrived I will not see it until tomorrow, unless my house sitter was there to sign for it. Can't wait!!!

Hey Manny, the bow was waiting for me in my house when I got home. Very nice finish work my friend, and the tips are some of the nicest I have ever seen on a selfbow. I will have to scrounge a string for it, but since I will follow your advice and not shoot it for a couple of weeks, that will be no problem. It is a beauty; made with great skill and care.  I am very grateful and appreciate your kindness and generosity.

Great news for Manny and Bob!

James, bite your tongue, buddy - and watch out for "snakes"    :D      ;)

I took "Hula girl" out for her daily "sunbath" yesterday. She seemed to appreciate it   :saywhat:
