A friend and I are heading over to South Carolina on Thursday to hunt some hogs on private land, can anyone tell me what licences I need? I know non residence but do I need a big game license?

No, you do not need the big game permit. You just need a small game hunting license. The big game permit is only needed for deer,turkey and bear, none of those seasons are in now.
What county are you going to be hunting in?

What Benjy said. I checked the SCDNR web site and it says the big game permit is for deer,bear and turkey. Good luck on your hunt..

i've hunted sc for hogs, you just need the non-resident permit, get it online here ...

You need a small game permit it used to be $40 for 3 or 5 days it may have changed.LCH

3 day nonresident general. 40 bucks
You can get it at wiggins hardware in estill SC
Or at any south Carolina walmart
