Nitro Stinger Gold Durability?
« on: January 12, 2011, 11:11:00 AM »
Hi all,

Ive been using the AD Trads with great success out of my 67# bow and they have proved to be really tough. Im just wondering how the Nitro Stinger Golds hold up, im looking to drop the gr/inch and hopefully get some more FOC by going with the stingers. Dont want to mess up a good thing though and waste some cash if the Stingers are not up to stumping etc.

Anyone feedback would be appreciated!

There is only a 2.1 grn diff between the Stingers and Trads.  You can easily get that with a point adjustment. You could screw in a 20 grn Gold Tip adapter into the back of the insert and get what you need.

Thanks for the response, with little weight difference I suppse the durability would be about the same. Am I correct in saying the Nitro Golds are stiffer than the Trads?

They are way stiffer! Probably could get buy with the Nitro Stinger Orange with your set up unles youo have 300+ grains up front?

They will be straighter and more unifom in grain weight but not necessarily tougher because they do not have the fiberglass in with the carbon on front part of shaft like the Trad Heavies do.

Yep, WAY stiffer....I doubt you will get them to fly less you put a ton of weight up front.

If you are happy with your Trads....don't waste your time or money.

Just got caught up on the forums..thanks for the replies everyone. Yep I got some pretty hefty weight up front 300gr+ so the added spine may be a good thing. My shelf is built out pretty far at the moment.

Thanks for the offer Foxtail, its appreciated! PM sent.
