I had read about footing carbon arrows here, and had seen what some guys have done. So I started my own little carbon footed project.
I ordered some 55/75 blems from Big Jim, he cut them for me and even offered to glue the inserts, but I did'nt know if I should foot first then insert so I opted to do the inserts myself. He suggested I use quick stick, so I purchased some quick stick as well (I think that's the name).
I also ordered some Onestringer wraps, 9" all red with my name and adress on them (I love this feature, great because NH requires full info on arrows). He sent me 14 wraps! Two extra unless I read something wrong. Was very kind of them, (funny how a little generosity goes a long way, was only expecting 12).
So I was armed with the knowledge of what I learned here, and I cut up some 2216 eastons 1 1/2", got my gorrilla glue, dremel (for deburring/scoring), water, q-tips, rags, cleaner, mini torch, and the rest of what I purchased and away I went...
Just need to let the glues set and I'm going to start fletching with my jo jan multi fletch (just figured out how to work that right too). My first full set of arrows I've ever made is almost done. (Only done a few here and there). I'll post up once I fletch em.
Thanks again for the inspiration and help everyone. For better or for worse these arrows were made because of trad gang lol
