TRADGANG Group Hunt in Africa 2012!!!!
Spiral Horn Safaris  :jumper:

Trad Gang proposal for August 2012 group hunt with Spiral Horn Safaris.

Hello all!  I am excited about being a tradgang sponsor!  I’ve had lots of PM’s and emails from interested members.  I’ve decided to offer a group hunt for 2012!!

I would love to have a group (or two) come over and hunt in August/September, 2012.  I am scheduling it out that far so that many people can save and plan for the trip.  I realize that times are tough economically and believe if we all plan for a trip over a year out, it will work best for everyone.

My suggestion is that we do two groups of 4 hunters per group.

Available dates are as follow:

August 9-18, 2012

September 9-18, 2012

These are spectacular dark moon dates prime time for bow hunters!

Each hunter will receive one impala male free!

Daily rates:

$200 per hunter

$150 for observers

This hunt can be anything you want it to be.  I offer spot and stalk, treestands, pop-up and permanent blinds for your hunting desires.  Waterhole, salt or trails; the options are endless.

So contact your friends, family, or anyone that might be up for a great Africa experience!  I would prefer that the hunt be all traditional archers but if you have a close friend or family member that is a compound shooter that will be fine…they will just have to sleep outside!  Just kidding!

Please feel free to ask me any questions.  I would love for this to be a great hunt for a great group of people!  Thanks, Louis

The above daily rates include the following:- Accommodation is quoted per person per day
•   The full use of all facilities in the camp such as the swimming pool and satellite television
•   A daily laundry service is also available at no extra cost
•   Full catering: early morning coffee & rusks, brunch, snacks, dinner, all soft drinks and alcoholic beverages in moderation
•   Hunting: a fully licensed Professional Hunter, trackers, skinners, all camp staff, transport to and from blinds, picking up of trophies, field preparation of any game taken and transportation of trophies to shipping company

The above daily rates excludes the following:- Accommodations prior to and after safari
•   Transport by vehicle from Johannesburg International Airport
•   Transport by vehicle between other Hunting Provinces
•   Trophy fees of animals bagged or wounded
•   Professional Hunting Association Conservation Levy per trophy taken
•   Taxidermy work and shipping of trophies to final destination
•   Rifle hire - per Rifle per day (includes ammunition)
•   Gratuities
•   Arrival Day / Night at camp to be charged at Observer rates per person

This is a great offer!  These are prime bowhunting dates for almost half of the normal daily rate charge!  This will be a great Tradgang hunt.  I'm actually going over in July with Spiral Horn but might have to book again for next years Tradgang hunt!  Check out some pictures at:   www.spiralhorn.co.za

I've been saving to go to Alaska but that is a very tempting offer. Worth kicking around.

Guys, I can't speak for SHS as I have not hunted with them but I will say this; If you don't have the money to go to Africa, BORROW IT!
South Africa is a trip you'll never regret. You all know I go alot of places and hunt alot of stuff but by FAR, South Africa is my favorite!

Don't let life pass you by. Don't be sitting in your rocking chair thinking; I should've gone. GO!

I have never been to Africa and am wondering how many critters one could realistically take on a ten day hunt? That's a pretty long list of critters you have up there and if I start adding up some of them I would like to take it might get spendy in a hurry! Can any of these animals come into water at any time anywhere I hunt? Honestly I couldn't tell you the difference between some of them! Would have to do some studying!!
The man who thinks he can and the man who thinks he can't are both right!!!

I think i could go for warthogs and culls and still have a BLAST!!  I have always wanted to kill one of those nasty looking pigs... What would your friends think about a baboon mount on the wall with all of those freakish teeth?  The look on my wife's face would be worth the price of admission when she saw a baboon mounted...

Hi RobHood23 I would say on a 10 day hunt you will most certainly be able to take   6 trophy animals if you trough in the cull options it can be more, there is no pressure to shoot animals it is strictly up to you should you want to spend 10 day’s shooting impala females and taking photos of the other animals that come in you would be welcome to do so? I would say that it will defiantly not be uncommon to see impala, warthog, zebra, blue wildebeest, kudu, gemsbuck, eland, giraffe and waterbuck all on one day depending on the time spent out in the field. This is yet another thing that makes hunting Africa so spectacular the diversity in game cannot be compared to anywhere ells. Please note this does not mean you will have a shooter of each of the above mentioned species in front of you every day or that when you stalk an animal you will get a shot off to take a good trophy animal with bow in Africa takes time and patience.

Bargainbowhunter LOL warthogs we have, the baboon on the other hand will be something your wife would not love to have in the bedroom I don’t know why but that is how it is LOL.

Best Regards

Gotta agree with biggie on that one.  I've been 3 times, and could not afford it any of the times.  I love it over there. It'll be a long time before, I can go again, but it will happen someday.  I can't wait for that day.

Don't think too much about it guys.  Just do it.  Trust me...if I could swing it...most anyone can.  I'm just an overeducated construction laborer. I made sacrifices.  Hell...I don't even have a dishwasher in my house.  I drive old trucks. No big deal..but you get what I am saying.  The experience cannot be put into words or monetarily values.    Not only that...but the conversation you will get from people who know you did it cannot be compared with.  EVERYONE will want to hear about it...whether they hunt or not!
