I think Como qualifies as the northern part of the state, what is it 20-25 miles from TN ?  It sure feels cold enough to be considered north.. LOL !
The shoot at Enid lake is a good one for sure, just don't get in the food line behind Joebuck !

Lol Biggie--nuff said!

TW, I plan on being there.  Although I shot like a beginner last year, I had a good time.  Twin Oaks is hard to beat--you should check out their TN Classic in May.

Lots of good folks in Mississippi, lots of deer and lots of hogs too(which you can kill at will).  Not to mention turkey, rabbit, squirrel and other tasty critters.  Lots of good cooks to prepare your game too.
MS traditional archers may not be as organized as some states but they are the best you can find, always willing to help and share.  We are "the hospitality state" for a reason.

Afraid that one died a slow, painful death.  Dang shame--it used to be one of the best in the country.  Long story behind it's demise--at least it was still going while Mr. Bobby was still around.

The Jerry Pierce Memorial Shootout is put on by some of the same folks that did the work for the Lofton when it was good.  It's not as big (yet), but it is good.  It's in May, and held at Enid Lake (not far from Grenada, where the Lofton was held).  The same group puts on a charity tournament for Catch-a-Dream (www.catchadream.org) every year.  Last year we raised $5,000 for the kids--we plan to do better this year.
