Open country deer.....

I am looking for suggestions and or advice on getting close to whitetails in open pasture type cover. Part of the state here is open country with draws and ravines but has many deer in it. And some big ones, does anyone have any advice on trying to hunt these? I am just wanting to broaden my horizons on hunting whitetails, you know get out of the woods some. Do you spot and stalk or use pop up blinds or what?

I watch where they bed, then make a sneak on them. If you can't shoot them in their bed, wait until they stand up, then shoot them.

Your wait maybe a few hours, so have patience.

I've used pop up blinds in open pasture with great success. I've had better success with giving the deer some time to get used to it. Even if the blind is on completely flat ground and sticks out like a sore thumb the deer will get used to it. If you can spot and stalk whitetails without cover then you are better than most. Just my opinion.
