I'm replicating an Apple arrow saw and have assembled all the bits. 1/15hp motor from Grainger, on/off switch and cord, aluminum L-bracket and yardstick, 3.5" cutting wheels, and I'm short the sliding nock holder, and arbor for the motor, and I'd like a guard too for that cutting wheel.

Not having made metal stuff like this, I'm lacking in resources to purchase the above items. Can you readily get this stuff somewhere.

Will I spend more time building it and in parts than just ordering the Apple and getting it over with?

No I don't want a harbor freight mini cutoff setup, thanks.

Anyone?

Joebo,

Was looking for a saw and that one you posted previously caught my eye.  Looks nice, right $$$, and I assume 5,000 rpm is sufficient for carbon.  Any other comments on it, pros and cons appreciated.  Looking forward to getting into this arrow building thing!

I see your changing direction, but the arbor can be had at Grainger's also. Then you just have to make the sldie which is pretty easy.
