GT 35/55 or ICS Bowhunters
« on: January 24, 2011, 06:43:00 PM »
I've been shooting GT traditional 35/55 but now I'm thinking that the Beman ICS Bowhunters seem like a great value also. Anyone done any experimenting with these shafts?

lungbuster,I love the heck out of those bemans!
I've shot the .340's out of a 55# widow,they shot
great, I currently shoot the .400's out of my
ILF set-up,same story. also shot the 3555's. and
personally I would suggest the Bemans.

If I had to pick between those two arrows it would be the Bemans hands down. They are great shafts.

The toughtest shafts I have shot are the carbon express heritage. They cost a little more but I think they are worth it.

BigJim has them and has the best prices. He is also a great guy to deal with.

I have shot both.  I find the Beman 500 to be a little stiffer.  The GT will be a little heavier and a little more durable in my experience.   Right now I shot the GT5575 and Beman 400.  The Beman run just a little to light for me with my current bows and draw length so I am mostly shooting the GT.  I find the GT blems and Beman bow hunter to be real close on price if you shop around for the Bemans.

The Beman ICS Bowhunters used to be called the ICS Ventures, and also the ICS Hawks (Beman liked to shange the name every few years). I've been shooting them with one name or another for over a decade. They're an excellent shaft.
