99 questions please advise
« on: January 25, 2011, 01:40:00 PM »
I want to start cutting my own arrows.  I have a 12" chop saw, will that work with the right kind of blade?  what kind of blade do I need?  I am off to harbor freight today to look at the little cutoff saw everybody talks about. what blade do I need for that little saw.  I am cutting carbon by  the way.

I shoot a Bear Grizzly from the early 70's.  Everytime I take the string off the next time i string it up the brace height is 1/8 to 1/4 more than when I took it off.  so I have been leaving it strung so my brace height is the same everytime i shoot.  I have well over 1000 shots on that string.  Should I be unstrining my bow?  is the increase in brace height the string (B50) or the bow?  thanks for the help.

As for blade just a metal cut off blade will work best. I am not sure I would go with the chop saw. I use just a small dremel tool and a metal cut off blade. The harbor frieght saw does work well though.

You should have not trouble leaving your bow strung buddy.
