Miss my Brothers and Sisters
« on: June 08, 2007, 01:04:00 PM »
Howdy to all my Brothers and Sisters here on Trad Gang. Been a while since I have been here. But life goes on and it goes fast. I wish i had the ability to take and put on pictures from my past days along the river. Its has been beauty beyond compare. As i shoot my bows often in the evening. Thanks Caster, Voodoo, Ryan Osullivan. I never knew my spirit could rebound from the material/physical world of flesh. I spend a lot of time now in the world of spirit. I wish all my brothers on here could experience a while living in the pure and not worrying about house payments/insurance/utility bills/stress/etc. I keep busy by eating from nature, going on walkabouts,(four miles) each morning. At night I ride my bike at least two miles along the river road and see nature at her best. The baby hawks i have watch across the river since they were babies have grown and fly up and down the river, I started calling them since they were in the nest and now i feel when i whisle they know me as they call back. It has been raining off and on for three weeks now and there is nothing in the world like taking a shower in nature and letting the pure water flow down your face. Everynight the coyotes howl out on the flats and been howling back at them with a special howler(Thanks Ken) One night I called the pack in within fifty yards. I think they were a mother and her young as in the moon most were small and one big one. One night i shot in the light of the moon. Man it was bright and the reflection off the flowing river water mezmerized me. Just wanted to say hi as i finally got to a computor for a few minutes. I think about you friends often as I smoke my pipe and watch the sun go down on another day. God Bless and take time to listen to the wind.             Mato Cante  (vic)

Vic,

Man it is good to hear from you.  I wish I could sit on the cabin porch and call to the hawks with you.  That would be a pleasure for sure.

I am glad to hear you are doing well and hope to get a chance to chat with you soon.

That's good stuff right there Brother Vic. I envy you in many ways. The freedom that you have in being so close to nature all the time. Stay well!

Hey Mr. Vic!  Sounds like Southern Iowa in all of her Spring beauty is offering not just enjoyment but healing.  Wish you well.  Wondering if you  might make it to the Ottumwa Ikes Trad shoot here in a couple of weeks?

Hey Bro,

I am in Montana at my in-laws ranch in the Bitterroot Valley. It is so beautiful. The mountains are capped with snow and the temp is about 70 degrees. There are a ton of bowyers here, all glass bowyers as far as I know. Been eating elk.

Dang, Vic, I wish we could trade places! I feel guilty having so much fun at the Post Office, moving mountains of local papers and cheesy catalogs while you languish in such a dull backwater as that. The hustle and bustle, the dust, the noise, the lengthy commute with all my fellow drivers...ah, but I don't want to make you wistful for the hurly-burly of the city. Far be it from me to foment discontent and longing in a heart such as yours!

Enjoy, buds.

Vic, sounds like the healing spirit is working quite nicely my friend, funny how the great spirit knows just what we need to heal our hearts and cleanse our souls, and hopefully in a month or so I'll be pulling up in that driveway looking for the man who has helped me through one of the roughest periods of my life, and I look forward to that day like no other, give me a call when you get a chance, and enjoy the freedom my brother, you deserve it......Steve

Great to hear you are doing well, and sounding like you are enjoying every minute of your new-found peace.

Keep the faith, and I still hope to see you at MOJAM.
