Orlando in late Feb.?
« on: January 28, 2011, 05:54:00 PM »
I am heading to Orlando for a business trip 2/24/11. I have a trad buddy I have not seen in awhile who just moved to the area. We are planning to hang out for a day or two while I am down there. He said he might know of a place we could hog hunt but was not sure and would look into it.

Does anyone out there know of a place to go hog or gator hunting this time of year? I would be fine with paying for a guided trip if that was the only option.

He lives on the coast east of Orlando so preference would be given to that side of the state (if it matters)...

Thanks!
Brian

Exactly where does your friend live? I do know a place you can hunt hogs south of Orlando, what are the dates you will be able to hunt? The person that runs the hunts books a lot of turkey hunts during Spring Gobbler season and you need to give him at least 2 weeks notice during that time to schedule a hog hunt. Feeders, spot and stalk, or dog hunts. Turkey season is Feb 19 - Mar 24.

I am also on the coast East of Orlando. And was born in Pittsburgh. PM me if your interested. And I can give you more info.
