laminated pine shafts ?

Curious if anyone is familiar with laminated pine shafts.How durable are they,how well do they shoot,how well do they take stain,etc.

I believe you are talking about Split pine hexshafts,I believe Whispering Winds Arrows sells them.

Yes,they are the Hexshaft arrow shafts,in theory it seems to be a good idea because you wouldn't have a weak side to the arrow,but I don't know anything about them.

They make a real good arrow, shoot nice and are very durable. They are tougher than most of the softwoods.

hexshaft are my go to arrow when i am setting up my bows,for brace height,nock,etc, they are very accurate and forgiving, and shoot off varying poundages of bows!

I have some footed hexshafts from Bob, no weak side, once straightened and well sealed they tend to stay straight, they will not however take stain well. Your bset shot at staining will be with an alcohol based stain, but it won't be even due to the differences in grain of the six different sections.
