New Hunters in the family
« on: February 04, 2011, 08:14:00 PM »
This past summer, my 12 year old son discovered another outdoor passion - Beagles.

He talked me into getting two beagle pups to hunt rabbits with.  Guess what, I now have PLENTY of beagles!  He is now the proud owner of 7 new beagle pups - 6 male and 1 female puppies.  Below are some photos of the proud Mom and Dad and their litter.

The Biggest of the Litter ( I thinking Moose is the name for this pup )

.

My Boy has already mentioned that he could start breeding beagles and turn this into a family business! He thinks he is the next Bill Gates of the Beagle World.

It's hard a boy to find a better friend than a Beagle.

Pretty little Buggers and how could someone not fall in love with those little faces..Cats well that's another subject and they hunt for themselves but a dog hunts with you and make you feel like you're part of their pack..I guess that's why most men love Dogs cause they are team players....  :D

Bonnie and Clyde are both real good hunters and ran a ton of rabbits for us this season.  It is a shame that when they hunt the Boy and I cant always hold up our end of the deal.  I hope that these puppies are as good in their first season as Mom and Dad.

Im just not sure what to do with 7 more beagles. Just hoping I can find some good hunting homes for them where they will get the opportunity to do what they love to do - chase rabbits!

I had a female Beagle when I was a boy. Even after 45years can still hear her yelp running rabbits. It is good for a boy to have a good hunting beagle.

Hi Ron-They're some cuties for sure. Never hunted with Beagles, but I would guess it would be a blast.

Wow, that stirs up some good memories.

Hunted with Beagles years ago...great fun, especially with a small group.

We had one male, "Mike" and a female "Missy".  I loved to hear their voices change as the trail grew hotter, especially if one of em caught sight of a cottontail.  Exciting times.

Good luck with them. Nothing like a good dog. My wife & I have a wired hair Fox Terrier named Jessie. She just turned five last month & I would love to add a beagle to the clan. I showed my wife the pics & she showed me "The Look", so I guess you are on your own as far as my help goes. Cute little devils though.

I love Beagles, Joe was my first, many many moons ago and I still miss him.
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. TGMM ♥
