When does your Spring Turkey open

I'm really excited for season, and spring to come. Those pics got me fired up more.

Here in Wis. our first period starts on April 13 and runs for 6 weeks Weds. to Sunday and ends on May 22. No hunting on Mon. and Tues. I drew the 4th period May 4th to May 8th. Left over tags go on sale over the counter in March. Can't wait!

I saw the largest flock of Turkeys I've ever seen today. Easily over 200 birds.

We had a 10 inch snow last week with 30 to 40 mph winds. I'm sure a lot of their food supplies are under snow causing this yarding affect.

Turkeys numbers have been on the rise around here for a long time. We had no Turkeys around here in the early 80's I mean ZERO Turkeys.

So April 1st there should be plenty of birds to chase.

March 15th-May 1st for me where I hunt.  WMA land opens April 1st-May 1st.

MN starts 4/13 and ends 5/25.  I didn't put in for the draw this year so If I hunt it will be the OTC late season by archery only!     I have yet to try it by archery so I kind of did this on purpose.  Now I just have to make the time to hunt.

Texas is a big state. Our turkey seasons are staggered by counties. I'll give three examples.

Bexar county: Mar 19-May 1.
Erath county: Apr 2-May 15.
Franklin county: Apr 1-Apr 30.

I.m in McMullen county and my season starts 3/19/11.

None here in Nova Scotia. Very envious of you folks. There was a push a few years ago to introduce them, but no go. I'll have to get into the pheasants, they're showing up here in the last few years.

My season doesnt open up until April 16th, but im gonna take my buddy out on a youth hunt that opens up on April 2nd. Cant wait!
