Bear hunting in Saskatchewan
« on: February 07, 2011, 10:21:00 PM »
Looking for some good outfitters to go hunting in 2012. I know this is the right place to find a good outfitter. Any recommendations?

I would probably look up Ryan Rothhaar on here.  I belive he and his father used to hunt bears up there.  However...If I had the time..to go on the Hunt....I would for sure be going with Ryan Derlago (Manitoba stick Flinger).  When I finally go bear hunting...that is who I am planning on going with!

I went with these guys a few years back and had a great hunt.  They were bow only and had great setups.

Talk to:
 http://www.bowhuntingsafari.com/index_800.htm

And they will put you on the outfitter that best meets your needs.

Thanks guys! Saskatchewan is a great place for bears IMO!..and Jon, I know I'll see you up here soon!

Just so you know, I take all bowhunters. I do my best to cater to, and fill up the camp with Trad guys but will take all bowhunters. I too hunt with wheel guys and it would be a shame to not be able to share a hunt with them due to weapon choice. The results of the hunt can only be posted here if they are with a stick though.

hitman...2012 has plenty of openings. PM if you have questions. Thanks...

Another vote for Walter's Wilderness Camp! He takes all bowhunters but prefers Trads.

I would definitely recommend Ryan in Manitoba, his website speaks for itself. If you are set on Saskatchewan I would check out Lyndon Gliege at Smoothstone Lake Lodge (just google it). I have not hunted with him but I have been at his place fishing and it is incredible, very remote. From the look of his website his clients have taken some great bears and he is an awesome guy that has been in the business for a long time. Good luck.

I know Jeff Smith of Kutawagan Outfitters. My wife and I met them at sport shows in Wisconsin. Jeff and his wife are pure honest people. He's also from my dad's home town. We one the other hand are bowhunters guiding bowhunters and you are welcome to follow the link to our web site. We've only got a couple openings for this spring left.

went a few years ago in Buffalo Narrows, don't remember the outfitter but you could google bear hunting in Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan.

Hope this helps.
