Silvertip Takedown Longbows
« on: February 10, 2011, 04:27:00 PM »
I have an email sent to Dave & Beth but still waiting for the reply. Thought maybe someone here might already know. Are the takedown longbow limbs interchangable with a takedown recurve riser? Can you interchange the recurve and longbow limbs with the same riser? Similar to say a Bob Lee.

no the longbow and recurve limbs don't interchange.  i do think however that all the longbow limbs will fit any longbow riser. most of the recurve limbs need to be sent to dave so he can fit them to individual risers.

hope that helps

Any photo's of their take-down longbows.

I haven't found anything on their website about them.

Good evening Dave! It is 62", 56#@28. Your welcome to wrap your hands around it and run some arrows through it. It's awfully quick.

Boy they sure are pretty bows.  I have admired them ever since I picked up my first copy of Trad Bowhunter mag.

The only sad thing is that I don't have enough money to get one.

I picked up a used 3 piece  and I love it!  It's really snappy and the riser's grip feels like it's part of your hand.  The limbs are snake skins and the riser is 1/2 charcoal and 1/2 walnut.  They are awesome bows!
