"Advanced Instinctive Shooting for Bowhunting"
« on: February 11, 2011, 03:23:00 PM »
For what it is worth, I am currently reading G. Fred Asbell's new book on instinctive shooting, "Advanced Instinctive Shooting for Bowhunting". I've always been a fan of G. Fred's writing, but he has outdone himself with this one. I would recommend this book for any instinctive shooters library. I will be referring to this one for years to come.

I just started reading it too.  I am only on chapter 3 but from just scanning through it I think it will be a very helpful book.  Especialy for a rookie like me!

Yep, reading it myself.  If nothing else, it reminds me of things that I am supposed to be doing that I don't always think about.

Ditto. It is another Asbell good 'un. It has already been beneficial in my practice sessions, even if it does nothing more than refresh in your memory what you are supposed to be doing. Push Pull and Concentrate, and shots go where they are supposed to. And yes, I knew that before, but it is always good to have a reminder. Plus, it has some good photos of trophies that keep the juices flowing.

How does his new book differ from his Volume II Instinctive Shooting book?  In short, what is in the new book that is not in the Volume II Instinctive Shooting book?

Got one on the way. I have Fred's other books so I wanted a full set. I don't do everything the way Fred suggest, but I always enjoy his writing.
