Scouting/Hog Hunt Friday February 18

Next Friday I'm going to head to Sam Houston National Forest, To do some scouting and Hog hunting. My plain is to get there early Saturday Morning and check in with the Rangers then head out.

I'm going to scout then in March I'll be back up there for a weekend to camp and hunt some more. If anyone wants to meet up let Me know.

As the days tick down I'll post more info, But for Now here is some info on  Sam Houston NF , You will also Need to have APHP (Annual Public Hunting Permit)and Your Texas hunting lic.

As of right now they are calling for temps in the mid 70'eds

Weather Up Date and I should be at the Ranger Station no later then 10:00 AM. I plane on hunting till dark.


Friday through Saturday
cloudy    Mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers. Highs in the lower 70s. Lows in the lower 50s.

I called SHNF and talked with the Biologist and I'll be seeing Him on Friday to get location of  hogs in the NF. He also told Me of some spots to check for Deer come this Fall.

Thursday I'll be in Houston at a Friends House and leave from there to Head to SHNF Friday Morning. If anyone can make it there PM me and I'll give You My Cell#. Also keep a look out for My White 95 GMC Truck. Here is a Pic of the back window...
