Lonala,
Good luck to you! Years ago, when I lived on Oahu, I hunted Lanai and the Big Island for Axis, pigs, sheep, goats, you name it! Some of my best hunting memories were from there and I miss it. Post a story after the hunt. Aloha, Todd

I did that hunt in 1978 while I was stationed at Schofield Barracks. We were able to hitch a ride on the mail plane that went between Oahu and the Big Island.

We camped at the State park. We saw a few deer, but didn't connect. It was a fun hunt.

From what I saw in Google Earth, things have changed a bit on the island, but I bet it will still a great hunt. Can't wait to see your photos. Good luck!

Ryan: That's a nice one in your profile photo!
