Rancho Safari Long coat & Niff-T-Seat, Shooting Video
« on: February 20, 2011, 03:37:00 PM »
I made my first product review video, it's not very good but it was fun and a learning experience! I can't wait for our spring turkey and fall deer season to get here. I will be ground hunting hard with these two products this year!  I was shooting my 56" 50#@28" Thunderstick mag in the video. I was shooting a 30" Easton Axis 400 shaft tipped with a 250gr. point, total weight 550gr.

The Niff-T-Seat is a little pricey, (Nts-2 11" $64.00) But it's made out of good steel, works great and should last a long time.

I think the long coat and bonnie hat will blend in and help me disappear in the woods. I don't think the Safari face mask will see much action though, it was just in my way when shooting so I didn't use it in the video.

I hope this is of some help for those who are interested in these products, I'm happy with both.

It was a windy day and my first attempt, so enjoy! It was kinda fun making the video clip.

Great review. I really want to get the longcoat. Great music too. A country boy can survive!! Your avatar would make a cool decal as well.

good job. thanks for the info. I did not know about the seat.

I have really been interested in a ghillie suit but not sure where to start looking. Your demonstration helps a lot.  The suit looks great. You did a great job!

Does the Niff-T-Seat make any noise when you moving around on it?

No noise, the seat is real quiet wv lungbuster. Best of all both products are made in the USA!

very nice reviev.  How much trimming did you have to do to the bow arm of the suit?

nice vid...that'll work great for the gobblers!

My experience with the Niff-t-Seat is that ya just csn't spend too much time in it."Too much" of course varies with the individual, but after a whille it does get uncomfortable!

I've had one for long, long time and don't use it much because it's just not that comfortable.

Good for short sits, and run and gun type hunting..but if you get into a situation where the gobbler is taking his sweet time coming in...you'll feel it!

Good luck!

I have a similar set up but in place of the Nif-T- seat, I use the Waldrop Pacseat.

I found the Pacseat more versatile and more comfortable.(IMO)

Nice work! Been using the Rancho Shortie coat and Boonie for quite awhile myself with a simple 3 legged folding stool. Had critters (with the right wind) walk within 10' of me & the mobility it gives can't be beat. Good luck in the spring.
