i'm not a target archer, i don't particularly like 3d events. i do like the muzzy and stumpin' as both are excellent hunting practice. i have no 'target specific bows', all my bows are built for the hunt. for roving i'll only use quivers that i use for hunting - an efa 4 or 5 arrow bow quiver or a safari tuff duiker stuffed with up to 10 arrows.

I don't chase around after 3-D events anymore, but I do like to shoot indoors and some stump shooting. I usually get stump meat on the first shot, but just in case, it's good to have back up. Like Rob, I like a good lightweight 4-5 arrow bow quiver. I will show one of my favorite bows and quivers, and also a bow quiver converted to a kind of stealth quiver with the addition of an adjustable strap.

For stumping and 3D nothing beats a good well broken in roomy back quiver. Also love it to hunt with as it carries lots of ammo to take pot shots at skwerls!!!

I use a back quiver for all of my target and stump shooting. For treestand hunting I use a bow quiver, for still hunting I use a homemade GFA type.
If I had to chose just one it would definately be the back quiver. I make my own out of medium stiffness leather that comforms to your back.

I have a Great Northern bow quiver on my recurve and I use a Safari Tuff with my longbow when hunting. For stumping and when carrying a lot of arrows I have a back quiver. If I could only have one quiver though, I would go with the Safari Tuff as it is very versatile and user friendly. You should try out several kinds of quivers and like a lot of us, you will end up with a small arsenal of quivers to suit your needs and preferences. There are a lot of good quivers out there and it will boil down to personal preference. Best of luck!

I just picked up the GFA quiver at the Waterloo Expo from G.Fred. I have not used it yet on 3D but have used it stumping. I love it. Very well made and light weight. Changes to almost any position you want(back, side, etc.) I am pleased!

PH, it's a Striker bow, and it shoots great. It is one of the lightweight bows that shoot better with the quiver on it.

The hide handlers back quiver has a three way harness that will allow you to get those arrows where you want them and keep them there.

For stumping I use a back quiver but for 3-D I use a Steve Catts hip quiver. Not only is it super comfortable but it only holds 6 arrows and on some days that prevents me from loosing more then six

For stumping, I use my regular bow quiver and add a piggy backer for one more arrow.
For the judo points, I just put them in upside down, nock end into the foam, works great.
I can't get used to a back quiver.
