...and tomorrow is going to be even better. After reading just about every single post on here (and watching countless video's) concerning Snuffer/Broadhead sharpening, I finally broke down yesterday and bought a file to work over my Snuffers. I had just about given up on sharpening them but I put a good edge on them last night with the file, finished up this morning and I'm now the proud owner of a 6" bald spot on my arm. Then, I also followed the "increase arrow weight cheaply" threads and purchased some airline tubing from an aquarium store yesterday. I've previously been shooting ill tuned arrows when bareshafting but no longer. That tubing stiffened my arrows up just enough that I'm shooting bareshafts about 3/4" right of my fletched fields and broadheads. The heavier arrows make a much more satisfying thud hitting the target and I'm getting 2-3" more penetration.
Top all of this off, tomorrow is my first hog hunt and it'll be with some local guys from TradGang as well as my lil Jarhead sister (which just so happens to be her birthday, her first archery hunt and her first hog hunt as well!). She's showing up with a compound (Yeah, I know, but she's a Jarhead. They're harder to teach.) but I'm hoping the sight of a few guys with straight sticks will put the bug in her.
So in closing, thanks to everyone who's ever posted a bit of advice or contrary opinion on here. After almost a year of frustration, today is one of my best in archery so far.

PS. I'm a Squid, so if I've offended any Jarhead's please feel free to accept my offer of a free ride to where ever it is you're going.
