Kirkll, the tab I use (Bateman cordovan) has a replaceable elastic finger loop so you can adjust it to just about any diameter...i.e. smaller for "bare finger" and larger for wearing over a glove.  I tried a glove and liked some aspects of it but returned to the tab.  I have always shot a tab and it just feels better.  Some say you get a cleaner release with a tab but for me, it just feels "right".

Love my Bateman cordavan tab with finger spacer. Three Rivers carries them. The one I'm using I've used for the last three years. Can't wear the sucker out. Wear it bare handed or with a glove in cold weather. I personally get a cleaner release with a tab than a glove. When I used a glove I would always developed a string groove that created release problems. Switched to a tab. Will never go back.

I love Saunder's pak tabs.  I have been using them for a long time.  Never found anything I like better.

I like the glove but Mike Fedora was pestering me to use a tab.  I shoot 3 under and got the red and black cordovon tab from Black Widow which comes in a three fingers under model.  I'm not a tab guy so I have no other experience with other tabs to comapre it too.  It does seem to work well but I lost it the first time I used it and eventually found it.  If I was a full time tab guy I'd have at least a half dozen   :jumper:

I've got a Bateman Cordovan tab. I can't get used to it. It's a large and I suspect it's too big. What is the best way to go about cutting one to the proper size? How do you measure?

Soma Saker

Kirk,  I have a mitt with a finger section that can be pulled off and back out of the way.  If my fingers get cold, the cover goes on.  if i have to shoot, I pull it off with my teeth.
