Another nother Stu's Calculator Question
« on: February 27, 2011, 09:12:00 PM »
I hope this is the right place for this.

I've been shooting some Victory 600's in a bow 55# bow and it should not work by any and all charts I've seen.  But it does.

So, I decided to plug the data into Stu's Calculator, which is a good tool IME.  I'm getting a negative number since it's going in as an "Other" brand of arrow.

Maybe someone can help me here with an errant entry or something.

Thanks.
Steve

You are putting in the wrong info on AMO spine rating. You need top put .495 into the spine converter(under the bow inputs) use the bottom one,ASTM. You will get 63.7 Put this in for the spine

OK...  I have a question...  How the heck do you get the spine calc to show up in an email or like here in a post?

Bruce, there are "screen capture" programs you can use to do this....just capture what ever is on your active desktop and (if I remember correctly) it is saved as an image (jpeg, etc)

I haven't used one in over ten years...Check CNETdownloads.

I know Windows 7 has a "snip it" function but my home basic 7 does not have the option...higher versions do.

On my computer, pressing the "ALT" and "Print Screen" captures the image.  I open up PCPaint with for a new image and "PASTE" the image and then save it to jpg file to reduce the size. I haven't seen just how to add small images to a file in this forum yet, so I just posted it to photobucket and linked it from there.

Hope that helps.

Steven,

I noticed you had a 2 in the box for nock end weight.  Is that correct?....most nocks I use range anywhere from 9-15 grains.  Also, if you use wraps or crown dip, that weight would go in this box along with the nock weight.

Thanks.  I'll fix that.  I was trying to figure out how to weigh wraps without destroying one.

Steve,

I've found out that most wraps of standard size weigh around 8-10 grains.  What I do is weigh the arrow before I put the wrap on and then weigh it after.

Good luck,  Bob
