Good grief!  As wide open as things are out there, is it difficult to judge yardage properly?
So ya wanna hit these fellers like a whitetail right? Tight to the shoulder just below the white line on their side?
Thanks for the pics Brad. I'm quite sure we are gonna see the tail ends of a few of em.
 Hoo-dog I can't wait!

I would imagine, that judging yardage would be different than Indiana!!!

Yup, straight up the back of the front leg...tight behind the shoulder...that blood'll look purty, on that white belly hair!!!

I'm hopin the waterhole blind works for me!!!

And yea, that sage smells GOOD, doesn't it!!!

I was planning to bowhunt speed goats in Wyoming and then Montana this fall, after learning I drew the Montana combo elk/deer tag.  But I learned I had a terrible problem - too many tags! I also drew a sheep tag (ewe) in Colorado but wasn't notified until the end of May so I decided to not apply for the 900 series antelope tag for Montana and withdraw from the Wyoming antelope and deer drawing.  I was really looking forward to hunting antelope again.  Took my son on a very brief antelope hunt in CO several years ago.....

I love hunting those plains with that wind, the forever views, and smell of sage.....

Well fellas I got to buy some camo for this pronghorn hunt and I need to do it with as little money as possible. Here's what I'm thinking about. Buying 3 or 4 pairs of desert camo, military BDU pants and maybe a jacket as well. But instead of having the pants and shirt match buy two or three different long sleeve tee's in different patterns to help break up my outline some.
I just read an article in a magazine where the guy was spot and stalking 'lopes and he wore a pair of tan carhart pants and a camo shirt. Any ideas or suggestions?
Does Montana look alot like the Colorado pics as far as the colors go? Doesn't look like a whole buncha green stuf at head level. I'd appreciate advice from some of you fellas with experience hunting Montana. Thanks
 Down to 55 days now!

Say Chris,
Is Montana a state that allows the use of stone points? If you are doing spot and stalk a pair of tan work pants with those foam knee pad inserts might be a good idea.
Have fun getting ready you guys...

Course I'll be goin after a few goats here and there...mostly spot and stalk...because I apparently need the practice at both (especially the stalkin part) when it comes to speed goats. One of these days...   :banghead:

Regs say that the broadhead must have two cutting edges so I guess a stone point would work.
