What Steerstalker said.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Well... Steerstalker and Walt...your right...that is usually what happens.

However our pig seems a bit cornfused...he keeps trying to mate with 3D targets.  We know this because he keeps knocking them  off their stakes/stands.  Once we determined what happened to our home archery range...we watched him when he headed that way.  He is not picky either...he doesn't seem to care if it is a target for a turkey or a deer.......

We also have hay bales for targets stacked 4 bales high and he keeps tackling them like a quarter back.  We had a big red rug hanging behind the bales and he tried to drag that off in the woods.  We only  leave our oldest targets out now...and cart out the others when we plan to practice.

This pig does funny things like run around the yard with a branch or a palm frond in his mouth.
For his size he is agile...the other day he climbed up on a picnic table.   :scared:
There were muddy hoof prints on the bench and table top.

The pig has been educational for me.  I now also know that in the past at Paradise Hunt Club... I only had the sows under my stand.

Dina....I don't think they know where you live....and that there's no way you and superman Tom are ever going to get rid of them all.    :D

Like the lady near you that had a 12 foot gator nesting under here deck....she aint gonna get rid of them either.  However, she did have that one removed.    :scared:

Sounds like ya'll have had fun watching this one grow.

It has been a sad week.  We live in the once very rural area of Palm Valley just west of A1A that runs through Ponte Vedra Beach.  Behind our home of 39 years is a 10 year old elementary school and then a there is a wide inland man made canal and on the other side is a gated community and then up and down that street are more gated communities.  The home owners associations for the gated communities in that area have a death warrant out on Mr. Piggalo.  (I know I was not suppose to name him..but my daughter did and the name stuck.)  Seems Mr. Piggalo has been destructive in at least two of the communities.  So today my dh and our good friend Wayne set up a borrowed trap and we will catch the hog and then relocate him.  The fellow that is a spokes person for the homeowners wants to clean out the hog and the deer population in our area.

We have enjoyed feeding and watching the fawns mature into nice does and bucks.  We have felt it was our way of giving back.  (FYI:We have never hunted in our yard and prefer to drive 1,250 miles to hunt.)

I guess all things come to an end.  I am just sad that our evening entertainment is coming to a close.  It is however comforting to know that Mr. Piggalo will soon be really in the wild with his own kind.  Once in the wild he will be able to mate with sows instead of my 3D targets.  We hope he lives well in his new location and produces many more lil piggies.
