Osage?
« on: January 11, 2007, 10:53:00 PM »
When i looked at the Black Widdow anniversary Bow all i could say was AWWW, so i want to Build me a Longbow using Osage as a Corewood, but here is the Problem, I live in BC Canada and we don't have Osage Trees here jet,(I planted some Seeds i go from Gary Archer in the Spring of 2006 and the Trees are growing just fine) but i am sure I wont be able to see them grow big enough in my Lifetime.(I am now 67 Years Young) so the Question is where can i get some Osage Wood for my Lams?

I've got them before from John at Old Master Crafters.  His phone and add are in Traditional Bowhunter every month.  Dino

Mike Yancey, Pine Hollow Longbows, in Arkansas.  www.pinehollowlongbow.com.  You can find it cheaper if you shop around, esp. if you buy in bulk. But Mike's wood is prime and his service lightning fast.
