I'm up for it.  Looks like there's a primitive weapons only area which sounds appealing.  What dates are you looking at.

i have held "deer camp(wn)"now for several years...in that time 3 p$y bucks have been taken, possibly a couple more and several very close...this is on public land with a lot of area to hunt...i do welcome anybuddy to the camp, would like to have some trads there...the problem it seems many dont want to do the required 1 day scout for the camp...or live in a tent for 9 days...also the fact 4 wheelers isnt allowed in the vicinity hurts too...but game carts are legal...its tuff terraine but reasonable shape can handle it...a guy can walk right from camp and hunt or drive miles away...if interested give a yell,a 170 was killed in our hunt area last year,i seen it twice...killed by a 1st time do it yourselfer from pa...

I have set up the Ohio Traditional Deer Hunt out on AEP property in Guernsey county (SE Ohio) the last 4 years. We have fun and see deer. Lots of land to hunt. I am looking at scheduling it for the last week in October this year.

Not 100% on sure how long it will be this year as I am trying to get my kids into the woods more this upcoming fall. Tentatively, it would be ideal if I could get it set up for Oct 22nd-30th. I do have to miss a few days during the week for work.

The last couple years we have only had longbows and recurves in camp. I am okay with some compounds sprinkled in if need be, it just hasn't been that way except once.

I'm thinkin about hunting Tranquility Wildlife Area in Adams County Ohio.  I think that if season starts in September again me and a few friends are going to come up for that first week for our first ever Ohio deer hunt.  Found a nice little house that borders Tranquility, gonna rent it for the first week.  Anyone hunted there?

treetoppredator,
Tranquility is supposed to be rough territory with little pressure. There should be some really nice deer in that wildlife area.

dsc,
I am thinking about moving up the hunt to the last week of October to take advantage of the acorns, better cover and a bit of rutting activity starting. I think there will be fewer out of state guys as well to reduce pressure since it isn't "technically" the rut. Beieve me there will still be some rutting activity going on even as early as that last week of October.
