Thanks Ben..all good info.

I will be shooting close to 60# - 600+ grains.  All I ever use for any hunting is two blade, usually Ace 160s.  Never hunted pigs.  I have learned a lot here about those tuff critters.  Looks like I'm okay...if I can hit those rascals.

Anything that will kill a deer will kill hogs too.You just make sure you shoot them in the right place or you will have trouble with any setup.Shot placement is much more important than bow or arrow weight with hogs.I find a well hit hog goes down much quicker than a deer.If a hog goes over 40yds when hit you usually blew the shot and chances of recovery are slim.jmo
....Quality deer management means shooting them before they get tough....

I'm shooting nearly the exact same setup out of my bow, a 48# Great Plains recurve. I've killed a small mess of hogs with that setup. Just keep your shots under 15 yards, and avoid the quartering shots.
