ordered a Caribow this morning
« on: March 12, 2011, 11:27:00 AM »
Well I have been wanting a Silver Fox for the longest time so today I bit the bullet and placed my order with Abe.  I have been shooting a Peragrin that I got from his inventory list last year and it is awesome.  The Silver Fox will have a striped ebony riser walnut burl limbs, beaver tail wrap and rest and will be 56#@29.5".  So let the waiting begin.  Abe was fantastic to deal with and helped me out with the wood choices among other things.  He is a class act all the way.

Darren got me started in traditional archery a few years ago by letting me try out his cari-bow . Cari-bow's have become my go to hunting bow. I am planning on going to abe's shop this may and ordering a new one as well. Congrats on a new bow. Now the wait begins!

Think of posting pics!!!

I ordered one about 135 mornings ago, not long to wait now.  I have never cared much for long bows, so orginally ordered a Tuktu. Since then we have talked several times about wood choices, veneers and such. Then the subjust of his Hybrid lomgbows came up, next thing you know he sends me one to try out. Woah, this aint your Daddys longbow. Shot right up there with my best recurves. Needless to say, I changed my order to one of his new Lynx Hybrids.  Have had a great time choosing materials and everytime I come up with something different, Abe just says that will look great.  Setteled on Black and White ebony Riser, Some fabulous Tiger Myrtle veneers from Idaho Curt and Sheep Horn overlays on the tips and Riser. Life is too short to shoot an ugly bow.    RW.

Love my Cari-bow SLynx. Whisper quiet and dead in the hands. Glad I bit the bullet. I don't even want to shoot my other bows anymore
