Thanks, guys... Don't despair, I really will get that info back up. How long will depend on my learning curve with the new Dreamweaver.

Itook the one hour personal tutorial on iWeb, thinking that maybe one of the newer template based programs could let me get things going faster. I found it interesting, but not practical for me. I have something over 700 pages of web material on sites I manage. iWeb wouldn't transfer them and keep the formats, and rebuilding it all in iWeb just isn't practical... I'm already 73!

It'll be back up when I can get to it, maybe after I get another bow built.  I'll need to clear my head after all this computer stuff is sorted out.  I'll make an announcement when it happens.

Rob... thanks so much for the generous offer, and I appreciate everyone's concern.   The information is not lost!  The site is saved and triple backed.  I expect a new current copy of Dreamweaver to arrive here tomorrow.  I will need to get myself up to speed with the changes and will then be reworking my sites.

I'm sorry to say that my first priority has to be the 2000 subscribers to my sewing machine site/list.   I was in the midst of a review/remodel on that site when disaster struck.   However, as quickly as I can get to it, I will get to re-doing my personal site (which has become primarily archery anyway) and folding the Hill files into it.

I have already identified those files that are specifically Howard Hill and/or Hill bow related and those that were more oriented toward the group's activities, so the important material is sitting there waiting for me.

I'll post an announcement when I get the information back up.  Obviously, it will have a new address.

Please be patient with me...it'll take a little bit of time ... especially with Moses Lake coming up!      :)

Thanks so much Dick for blessing us with the site and all the info!
I hope you will soon get the new site back up and going as the old one was such a wealth of information.

A lot of us that were on Dick's HHL email list have migrated to the new Classic Longbowmen group on yahoo. We get pretty much the same great email group, and a few more features to keep the old HHL group intact. We went with the Classic Longbowmen name to help folks feel more comfortable about joining, if they own or desire to own a "Hill style" bow...... but not necessarily a Howard Hill bow.

I hope this is appropriate, and not offensive to the moderators here:
But anyone that was a member of the old list and missed the link we sent, or someone new wanting to join the new Classic Longbowmen group can PM me for the direct link there......

THANKS AGAIN CAPT'N!!

Cap'n, thanks for all of the time and effort you put into the site over the years. As a subscriber, I read almost every post, but posted little. I'm sure all of us appreciated the list and site. I was out of town when the site went down and came home to find a TON of posts. Hope all goes well and I'll look forward to the info when it's available.

HNH, sent ya a PM.

Captain Dick, Thank you for all you shared.  The site was one of my favorites.  The Osage HH classic I got from you is now named "The Captain" in your honor. Alex

Thanks Dick, for all the work you have done, and will do!  I don't have a HH bow yet, but I will eventually, and your site is what gave me the bug.
