How many would we have "killed" and how many hours have we spent digging out our broadheads...that were completely embedded in the tree.   :saywhat:

If you can see enough of the broadhead to apply heat you can probably wiggle it out (another reason single blade heads are great).  I've never tried heating one off.

I have "thwapped" white pine and buried the head deep.

When stumping I carry either a USN Mk3 knife or an Air Force survival knife.  Relatively cheap (used to be, anyway) and rugged enough to jab and twist all around the stuck head and loosen it up.

A Leatherman Wave is also a great gimmie-backer for buried heads.

Thanks for reminding me Joe.  I've have one in a stump from last fall.  Shot under a really nice buck and drilled a stump.  Next time I go shed hunting I'll have to remember a pair of pliars.

Two years ago, I put a stalk on a fat 4 pt.  I got to  about 18-20 yrds, drew and released  WHACK!!...sounded like a good hit.  I looked all over for blood...nothing.  I looked up, there was my cedar shaft with my "greenie" head sticking out of a split sapling! I got a few of them mounted!!

That reminds me I got one last season, I should have put a tag on it. that Hill single bevel buried past the ferrule and the tree still has it, but it has not gone down yet.

Not so much broadheads but I learned a long time ago to use hot melt and carry a pair of pliers when stumping.Pulled a lot of judos and inserts from stumps.

Don't know much about "trees" but if my garage door was a deer I'd of killed too many to count!    Just ask my wife... She's the one standing over there holding the rolling pin!
