Longbow Quiver + Arrow performance?
« on: June 15, 2007, 09:10:00 PM »
If I put a quiver on my long bow/ the snap on kind/  will it affect my arrow performance?

WIll I have to get a weaker spined arrow or a stronger spined arrow to compensate???
Blessings,
Steve

Steve you should be able to use the same arrows but you may have to adjust your point weight some.

I use the same arrows in my Hybrid Mikuta longbow

If you must go to a lighter spine.....a 5# drop will be plenty

I'm using Carbon Express Heritage 150's... I am pretty well bare shaft tuned at the moment. If I add a quiver what should I expect????  Shooting 47 lbs. at 28'.... Longbow

Expect your arrows to show a touch stiffer. Add alittle point weight and you'll be right back on.

With carbons I would go with a heavier point if needed.....(easiest fix   )

If you are only hitting a few inches (like under 6") to the same side as your sight window you may want to leave things alone.....Your shooting will  "instinctively" compensate for this in a short time.

Steve, did you ask this question a week or so ago? Anyway, a quiver that slides or snaps onto my longbow doesn't change the spine of the arrow at all for me (see my post on this topic from a week or so ago). Good luck!

Sorry Ben, I didn't think anyone ever responded to that post so I stopped watching it. My bad... Thanks

Steve
