Slick Trick "razor tricks"???????

Anybody ever tried them or though of trying them? They are a short squatty coc head 4 blade. main blade is 1 1/8" wide bleeder blade is 7/8" wide and i think 1" long. Ive had good luck w/ slick trick standards out of my compounds but didnt know what u guy's thought of these coc for trad.

Based on all the good things I've heard about them, if I was looking to shoot a small screw-in head, I wouldn't have any hesitation about using them.

I dunno, I think that the SteelForce Phathead offers a wider variety of weights.

I find their math on cutting diameter rather interesting.  Must be "marketing math".

I like that myself.  You can prove a fieldpoint has infinate cutting diameter doing it that way.       Unlimited amount of edges, just all touching.  

Not a big fan of the Trocor or pyramid style tips, but at least it doesn't rely on moving parts.

idk. i use to have a pack but they didnt fly as well as my magnus buzzcuts and the blade were loose after almsot every shot. really sharp though.  i tried them with my compound not with trad gear. but if i planed on using a low profile head it would be the phatheads series by steel force. thats one thick blade

I bought a pack last season but never got the chance to try them out.  They look pretty good though.

I used the standards when i shot a compound..I never had a blade loosen on any slick trick.. and shot many whitetail and one elk...But i think there a little small for trad gear..

And like Jason said, I have heard nothing but good things about them.  I have some friends that shoot them from compound bows and they love them.

They're darn small though.

I contemplated this same question. I had fantastic success with the standards out of my 60# compound.  For what it's worth, though, I went with Magnus for my trad heads.

they are 2 completly different heads. razors use a set screw and the reuglers use the arrow and washer to hold everything tight. no way for the normal ones to get loose unless the heads unscrews, not the class with the razors. would probably help if a little string wax is put on the screw

I also have used standards out of a wheelie, but I like a longer cutting edge for my longbow.

They are a great head. The 4 blade design makes an open hole that bleeds like crazy. Takes alot of energy however to drive those 4 blades all the way through. Very durable head with thick blades that take a good edge....IMO. Hard to sharpen though.

I shot a coyote in the head with one and did not even bend a blade.

Steven-used to use them in the dark past of my 'wheelie' years!-the best head out there regarding modern archery! unbelievable penetration/blood trails. never tried them with trad gear because of their light weight. hope this helps.

They should work, but I would prefer something with a higher mech advantage.  In other words, a longer overall length, which will increase penetration.  If you have plenty of horsepower, why not?
