Since our archery deer season is the last of Aug to the middle of Sept, I wear mine alot. It is still very warm this time of the year. I just wear a long sleeve cotton plaid shirt, and wear it in the fall to do other things in.

Mostly the hunting gear stays stored for that purpose. If the warmer wool and boots are needed for a cold day, out they come, but never if gas or oil is involved. Just for hiking, snowshoeing or out and about. Of course, not going to live forever, but like having the favourite hunt gear in top shape.

I wear my KOM all winter. Between hunting, scouting , stunp shooting and fishing its just way to warm and comfy to put away.

I keep it separated, but I'm not as crazy as I used to be. When I was twenty, if my KOM jacket was out of its plastic and my dog even walked in the room I'd just about freak out, and wash it all over again.
Nowadays I'll often use my stuff for ice fishing, or other cold stuff.

I don't wear my hunting clothing for casual wear, but often wear casual wear hunting. I have a way of ruining my "good clothes"! Great way to keep spouses happy!

It takes a funeral to get me into "good clothes".
Good clothes (to me), are comfortable clothes, and that means that all my clothes are possible hunting clothes.
I have been wearing my big Woolrich plaids all winter, and will do so until the weather warms too much to wear them. I have no qualms about wearing camo in public. It makes me more aware of the Hunters' Image. I am always, because of that and that the camo makes me feel good, a little more nice and considerate of others when I have it on.
Practicality first!

I do not wear camo out and about other than a fleece jacket. I do not allow my students to wear it to functions we work...
OK.. so, its a presentation thing. I do wear my "hunting" clothes (cold, wet weather stuff) during the year. That includes all the Filson, LL Bean (old stuff)Pendelton and Woolrich. Also Barbour jackets..
Its good stuff and like someone above said, it will likely outlast me. Some of the old wool I have is hand me downs from my Great Uncle... its over 60 years old now...

I only wear hunting clothes when hunting, but I never store them in plastic. Pulled an old set of BDUs out of a tote one year and they stank like plastic.
instead I keep them hanging in my closet but not touching anything that gets washed with normal detergent. I've always thought about building a big pine box and storing apples from my orchard in there to get the smell right then keep my camo in that. One of these days...
