This was totally MY fault.....
I did a bonehead move and left my beloved longbow strung in the van all day(in 85 degree Miami)prior to going on a turkey hunt.
When I saw it I was in shock! The bow didn't blow-up but the tiller on the top limb was about 3 inches, bottom limb about 8!
Upon closer inspection, the bottom limb
de-laminated. It lookes like the veneer(back) seperated from the core, and the first core lamination cracked. The belly core and veneer are intact(at least visibly).
I left a message with the bowyer(who is top notch)and he left me a message that it is probably shot.
Is there any hope?
