Josh Sowerby, goes by Oliverstacy in the classifieds, makes a string second to none.  Great fella to deal with too.

I come from a time where nearly everyone made their own string, it amazes me that so few do today.. the investment is minimal in both time and money to learn..

I'll bet YouTube is full of how to's on Flemish twists and cribbage board plans.. or you can probably buy a board for less than $20 from someone.. a 1/8 pound spool of thread is less than $30 and will make a lot of strings..

Probably take you 30 minutes the first time for a workable string and you'll get better as you go..

I made my own Flemish twist string jig from plans I got right here on TG and started making my own.
I've often wondered why I never did it sooner.
I can build a new string in less than 15 min. from start to finish (minus the serving), and that's probably slow compared to some guys.

Try Chad Weaver at Recurves.com. He made that video"Doing the Twist". Awesome guy and makes a great string, can't beat his price.

I second what Reaper said, Josh Sowerby,
Oliverstacy in the classifieds makes a great string at good price and very quick service.

I also used Chad Weaver and SBD...Great strings also.

Learn to twist them yourself, it's easy and fun. Plus, you'll no longer have to rely on others to keep you shooting. If you were close I could teach you in ten minutes and you'd be an expert in an hour.

Shoot, you are close. Have you ever been to Geauga Bowmen Club? We have a shoot in a couple of weeks, come on out and we'll get you some strings for free. Hope to see you there. Paolo

CAT22, do a search for bearbowman strings and you'll get all the answers you were looking for.  Most guys know him as Bearbowman I don't think many recognized the 1st Class Strings name.  Same guy.  :D
