Mark, I got Cheyenne riser that would pass as a twin! its exactly the same combination, except I have full pine cones. You thought about those? They are great shooters so smooth and fast. Love those foam cores. I havent shot mine with an attached quiver just use a shoulder one.

WOW Mark, that thing is beautiful!!!!!!

Just last week I was saying to myself, that Morrison must be coming in soon.

Are you coming to Bayouland Wednesday night????

BTW, if you will not leave the quiver on the bow, I think you should just go with a shoulder or hip quiver.

Thx guys, dangit, now I gotta get a new 3D deer target, mine just now totally fell apart after years of use and repeated repairs.

@Preston: I had a used Shawnee for a short while, great bow, but didn't like that 1/2 pinecone at all, LOL.

@AW: I'll try to make it, now I'll -have- to get some carbons for the TechoHunt. ha  Ya'll are gonna really like this bow, start saving your money! Again!

I'm a bow quiver kinda guy, like those arrows at quick ready for walks with the Windwalker stand on back.

I sold some stuff and happily the bow kitty's back up to snuff Mark, and I'm actually on the hunt for a short 2-piece hybrid.  Been looking hard at a Whip.  About 57#s @ 28".  I just don't have the patience to wait like you did.

I still can't get over how nice that bow looks!  Dang man you picked some good wood!

One thing I was advised that made good sense...

Don't tune your bow to arrows till you've hung all the stuff on it you'll want... silencers, bow quiver, tip protector...every little bit can change flight with a "less than perfect" release and we all get them at the worst time in the presence of nice racked game!

I had a limb bolt quiver that was easy on-off. Just don't personally like a bow quiver. Messes with the balance in my hand and feels bad!  :(

I hang my small back quiver on my climbing ladders on my stand to go in, still reach it and a solo stalker on my bow...then the quiver goes on a peg in the tree after stand is set.

Different strokes... but do add before you tune.

I recently acquired a Cheyenne, Macassar A riser with flares, C limbs in bamboo to make a 58" bow, 45#@28". Love it. I have been fiddling with quivers and what seems to work well is the GM quick detach (I will use this one in a treestand so I can remove it while I'm hunting) and the EFA 4-arrow model for stalking, which is a bit lighter. Either is a good choice I think.

I like the Great Northerns, as Keith said they sell a quick detach.

Well, instead of trying to sell/buy another quiver, I just mod'd my GM strap on longbow quiver. Cut the metal rod, added a piece from Lowes, shrink wrapped it on both ends, fits perfect and very steady. Came out better than I thought. Shoots fine with it on, but I usually take it off in the stand anyway.

Mark just an FYI. You can bend the arrow gripper wire around to fit the opposite way next time. Must be careful though, I have broken them doing it.

Thx K, but not sure what u mean?  If by your bend you mean extend the length of the entire quiver, that would not nearly be enough in my case. I had to extend it about 5-6 inches at least. But you're right, that orig wire is extremely stiff and was very hard to cut with wire cutters.

I cut the orig wire in the middle right between the top and bottom quiver parts. Then took a much longer wire rod section, stuck it deep into the top quiver parallel to the orig rod, and shrink wrapped that twice.

Then on the bottom, along with the shrink splice, I left the added wire much longer and curled it through the gripper. Came out kinda funky, but it sure is stiff with no chance of sliding out the splice/shrink section.
