The Finest Fletcher For The Finest Dad!
« on: June 18, 2007, 02:13:00 PM »
My wife has heard my interest in afixing feathers to arrow shafts and that wonderful woman and my kids went and wrapped me up a right fine Bitzenberger Jig for Father's Day.  Pressure's on now:  She told me she expects me to fill the freezer with venison this fall now.
Now I need feathers, fletch tape and more shafts.  This sport keeps getting better and better!

That pressure would be tough for me.
I'm a lot better at fletching than I am at putting venison on the table.   :banghead:

I have been using the same Bitzenburger since about 1967 and it is still going strong...
Now my 9yr old daughter is going to start using it to make her first set of arrows this summer...
It is definitely going to be past on...
You got a good wife and kids there...

I bought my first Bitz in the late 70's and it's still fletching arrows just as well as when new.  I prefer Duco over the tape, tho.     :bigsmyl:
