first thing i would do is check brace height. Strings tend to stretch and too low of a brace height will catch yah...

plucking is when your hand flys out away from your face on release instead of pulling straight back.

All the above and also ever so slightly bend at the elbow this will cause your forearm to roll out and away. I have to do this as I have really big forearms. Shawn

When gripping the bow your elbow should be in the 8-9 o'clock position, not pointing down in the 6 o'clock position.  Try rolling your shoulder forward a bit and that should turn your elbow out, thus allowing the string to clear the forearm.  I developed bad form years ago and have slapped the living hell out of my forearm many times.  After learning the proper elbow orientation all that slap has disappeared.

I have had same problem, was told by my buddies that I am griping the bow to tight and end up tourquing the bow inward toward my arm, have started loosening up my death grip and have starting to quit slapping arm and shooting much better.

thanks the 8 to 9 oclock arm was the ticket.  well 3 to 4 oclock in my case.  I have been shooting wrong for 20 plus years.  I cant believe the way this little tip has tightened my groups, saved my forearm, and made my shooting a lot quieter.  Thanks again
