i was at buddys place today to pick up some arrows . i traded him some traps for. he came out with a dirty old 8 box of bear 45/50 ceders hunting arrows with razor tips on them plus a extra perfect match for a total of 9. 3 with bleaders all never shot. 4 with moth damage to some of the feathers. 5 about perfect.they are tan with what looks to be 1964 tips light blue knocks and orange feathers. were these wraped in plastic or was there a top to the box . im pumped for sure. im thinking of hunting turkey with these out of a 60in. 35# no.25 indian archery fiberglass semirecurve. i pull it to 28 3/4 outside of grip . you think its enough bow if i do my part at 15ish maybe 20 yards max. they were my buddys dads. they all went to compound when they first came out and never looked back. i ask him if he had any more and he said nothing worth anything i told him ill trade him a few more traps for what ever he has to make fluflus for stumping and small game . he told me he will get the old arrows together and he has enough traps. so i can just have them . no one else will shoot them. i have some FL feathers on the way thinking of making 4 flu flus out of the moth damaged arrows. did i type im pumped oh yea for sure.  :bigsmyl:

i just got done cleaning them up. i think all but one are shootable the way they are. one needs 1 feather. the tips are in great shape very light surface rust on a few edges but after sharpening they should look like new. sweet hope he has a bunch of ceder arrows in the attic. when i was a kid with a red bear fiberglass 25# bow running a muck through the neighborhood. i used to buy his arrows from him for .50 a piece. very cool to get back into it after 30 some years and get arrows from him now. very cool ol dude. i took a ceder shaft i made into a fluflu with some of my turkey feathers to show him. he said he had some realy nice turkry feathers in his garage. and went in came out with a bag of feathers. he handed them to me and said i was going to sell these on fleabay but your playing around with the arrows here take them with you.
im excited to say the least.

The 8 boxes were in the 1970's and had cellaphane over the front of the box.

I would keep the turkeys a lot closer than 15-20 yards with that set up. Those fiberglass bows were not great performers and you need penetration on a big bird. I would keep my shots under 10 yards and still be hesitant do use that for turkeys if I were you. Shawn
