Norminator,
we used a variable speed dremmel to get the holes in the antlers and i think they were 1 1/2" wood screws to secure them to. We started with 2" screws but found they were to long. after the holes were drilled we twisted the anters on. some went on really easy some were quite tough but once they were attached they felt very solid.
We had talked about using epoxy or wood glue to prevent any twisting but after seeing how snug they went on the board we chose not to.
