New Grip

I picked up a used Critter Gitter, bow is in great shape but the grip is worn out. Any ideas. the grip is the old suede style. I don't want to damage the bow, are they glued on ?

There's likely some contact cement underneath.  Just wet the grip with denatured alcohol.  Should pretty much lift off.  Clean up the remaining rubber cement by rubbing it off with your fingers or perhaps a little alcohol on a rag.  Install the new leather.  Voila!

Some of the roll on rubber grips like Shurgrip, or posi-grip can provide an easy replacement with no slip.

Thinking of replacing it with a posi grip but am concerned with how small the grip is on the CG.

Longstick, I just replaced the grip on my Harrelson lb. I was thinking of using leather but decided to use baseball bat grip tape. It did a good job and so far(4wks) seems durable. I used alcohol to remove old grip and  just enough to soften rest of Barge to remove like Orion said.

Since you mentioned concern about a smll grip, you may me pleased with the Posi Grip.  I find it's thicker than many leathers comonly found being used as grips and actually helps increse grip size some... In addition it really holds your hand in place very well... I like the ones I have on a few of mine very well...much better than the "Sure Grip" IMO.  

BTW... no glue required to keep it in place.

You may find you shoot it better with no grip at all. Remove it as directed but shoot it before you put on a new one.

Roll the new rubber grip right over the existing leather grip. I did that on a longbow with a smallish grip and it really filled out nicely.

Try it before you go to all the trouble of removing the leather grip.
