KY...Opening Day & I got skunked!
«

Took my daughter with me today for the turkey opener in KY, between the rain, cold and 30mph winds we got skunked. We gave up about noon with cold wet feet. Heard 2 gobbles and then NADA. I kept thinking wonder how my arrows will fly in 30mph winds?
BUT, a bad day hunting is till a pretty good day!
Any body else try to beat the weather in KY today?

Chuck and I went today, had birds early but none came in. So about 9:45 had two long beards come in, by then we were holding the blind down, (forgot the stakes), when they came in range, we let go of the blind, just about the same time the blind let go. So no bird today, anyways just a whole lot if fun with a good friend.LOL. Thanks!!! God bless.

I got up this morning and it was raining sideways, so I stayed home until the weather broke. Should have stayed home all day, no birds. But it was still nice to be out in the woods.

I tried the rain and wind and they won. Didn't hear a thing even the tweety birds were staying quiet. Maybe we all will have better luck tomorrow'
