Stringing and other questions.....
« on: April 22, 2011, 08:04:00 PM »
Ok, so first things first, a big, huge thank you Slewfoot62 for sending me a new flemish string for my Bear Alaskan.

Now, for the questions:  since this bow hasn't been strung on a regular basis for somewhere around 25 years from what I remember, is there anything specific I need to be doing before I string it?  do I need to limber it up somehow? once I string it, does it need to just sit there strung for a day or three?
Obviously high on my priority list is going out and betting a stringer.  There's a little about 20 minutes away from me, up in Park City, where I'll be going tomorrow for it.
I know I need arrows for it, and have been messing around with stu's calculator, and have found a few different builds that will work.  is there anything else I need to be thinking of?
